Roeshaun, a Memphis native residing in Atlanta, GA has worked as a Talent Acquisition Business Partner, Advocate and Activist in Social Justice for 5 years. In December 2022, Ms. Murry was arrested due to a case of identity theft after her Driver’s License was stolen, which landed her in prison for 2 days. As a victim, Ms. Murry learned it can be challenging to navigate the criminal justice process, and how misunderstandings or misinformation can exacerbate the difficulty.  The trauma of this experience allowed her to see first-hand how many disenfranchised women and young women are misinformed and need unwavering support and access to resources, healthcare, counseling and education with reentry into society. Ms. Murry has worked tirelessly in higher education and human resources with most notably, Enlyte and partnered with the NAACP to support ongoing recruiting initiatives over the past 5 years. Recognizing how a person’s life can positively change when they are empowered with access and information about reentry, best practices for mental health and employment readiness training.

Ms. Murry began advocating for reentry and prison reform in 2023. Currently, United Women Reentry Foundation is based out of Atlanta, GA. Under the visionary leadership of President/CEO Roeshaun Murry MBA, HRM and Vice- President Ashley Moore, MPA.

About Us

UWRF

United Women Re-Entry Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing resources and training opportunities for formerly incarcerated women.  Our sponsors, entrepreneurs, and individuals support our program through donations and participation in our community events.

Program Overview

We strive to provide comprehensive support and guidance in a community where every woman can realize her potential and achieve her aspirations after incarceration. The incarceration period  prevents justice impacted individuals from gaining marketable work experience and severing professional connections and social contacts that could lead to legal employment upon release.

United Women Reentry Foundation offers resources through two programs .  Programs offered are H.O.P.E and R.I.S.E.

United Women Reentry Foundation offers peer support, housing support, records expungement, reunification and mental health counseling through (H.O.P.E) Healing, Opportunity, Positivity, and Empowerment program. The core principles and objectives of the H.O.P.E program focus on offering a safe and nurturing environment for personal growth and recovery. It also creates opportunities for individuals to improve their mental well-being and overall quality of life.

The (R.I.S.E) Resilience, Inspiration, Support, Empowerment program offered through United Women Reentry Foundation will focus on preparing the participants to excel in entrepreneurship and career opportunities.
